METU is a hard University!

Don’t you hear that all the time?

We all have those moments when we feel it’s too tough and want to give up. My advice? Don’t panic. While it’s certainly not easy, being a METUan means you have what it takes to make it to the top. All you have to do is put in a little bit of hard work. Studying regularly, smartly managing your time, and trusting yourself is the key to making it through.

And for this, I am sure you need a quiet place.

You found this article, so you know where it’s going. You guessed it. The library is the perfect place for you. It consists of three floors, each equipped with comfortable chairs and desks for students to use. Course books for your department are also available for to take out of the reserve.

Can we study as a group at the library?

Yes, you can! 

All you have to do is book one of the specialized rooms designed for this purpose, and you can study with a group of friends whenever you want. You can access the booking page here.

Need something to appease your appetite for reading? 

If you are a person who likes to curl up with a story or novel, keep up-to-date with the world by reading newspapers, or just following the latest tech or fashion trends, you are going to go crazy when you see the vast collection at the library.

Having a tough time selecting a book or finding it? There are assistants at the library to help you, so don’t shy away from asking. You can always access the catalog here.

I am convinced that I need to go to the library! What are the working hours?

Are you going to head to the library? Great! Here are the timings to keep in mind. 

  • Weekdays: 8:30 AM till 01:00 AM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM till 01:00 AM
  • Sunday: 12:00 PM till 01:00 AM

*The circulation or borrowing service will only be available until midnight.
